will self-destruct right after you read it. Oh, how i wish it could actually fizzle and stuff, but no…no james bond/mission impossible type hehe.
Welcome to willselfdestruct.com. Its a free service that creates a secure webpage for the recipient that can be accessed only once. The recipient gets an email with the link….click….their monitor tracks their eyeball, and the moment it finishes that last period, ZAP….the msg is gone. Well….almost. If we went into more details…this post would have to self destruct, and thats kinda hard.
Check it out: Selfdestructing email.
Now….you’ve all heard of World of Warcraft yes?
Another MMORPG is Guild Wars…..
they are all based on war….yes?
Well….why not Chore Wars?
Get exp for doing housework, such as taking out the trash, etc. Even get loot from that pesky rat you killed while coming back from the epic quest of getting mail.
I’m kinda scared that they actually made this…..with actual graphics of an elf holding a broom, a wizard holding windex, and an orc holding a recycling bin….but, if you get a kick out of it….
you can even boast of being a lvl 10 elf window washer!
Check it out (if you dare) at Chorewars.com

Okay, time to link to something different for a post. . .
(it’s been a while since we had a real PSA)
Its almost time for the Blogathon 2007. The idea behind the blogathon is a 24-hr marathon fundraiser of blogging every 30 minutes for 24 hrs straight, to raise money for charities around the world. You support the people you know doing it by either giving them blog topics to blog about, or by sponsoring their blog and making a $$$ donation.
Read more about it here

Flashladybug isn’t participating this year (a bit of a lack of time, and I only found out about this yesterday. . . .), but we might next year, and I know someone who IS participating this year, raising money and blogging for the National Kidney Foundation. Her blog is here http://hotarunohikari.livejournal.com/profile.
If you want to search for other charities to donate to, take a look at the list here http://www.blogathon.org/list.php?sort=charalph
A note on the previous post about backuping itunes playlists in their mp3 format. Instead of using that program, if its a small playlist, you can simply drag the songs from itunes onto the desktop or folder, and itunes will autocopy the files over. Apparently, this does not work for large playlists, the author said >1000, mine worked for about 300, so it shouldnt be much of an issue.
Thanks “yooper1019!”
I know that not everyone out there uses Firefox, I use it because its better then IE, and Safari doesn’t render some webpages correctly. I like FF, and I like a lot of the features that come with it. I’m hoping that they finally fix the memory leaks in FF3, although they don’t seem to be as pronounced on my Mac as they do my PC. . .
Anyhow, take a look at some of the new features and layouts for FF3.
Also, read the comments. Sometimes the comments can be just as insightfull and important as the actual blog, especially on something like this, where there are lots of people with lots of different opinions for lots of different reasons. The discussions via comments can get quite interesting.

I’ve been preparing moving some of my music over to my new PC to save some pace on this poor 80 gig laptop, when i ran upon this. iTunes Export, will do what itunes cannot. You cannot export individual playlists out of itunes, except for an ipod, which makes somethings difficult. I have a few gigs of music, but only a few hundred megs of music that i play on a regular basis. Instead of finding them individually in the itunes folder management system, you can use iTunes export.
Select an output directory, the name of the itunes playlist, and bam, its in the directory.

You know, google is probably one of the few companies, if not the only one, for whom 58% increase in revenue is a disappointment. Now, the increase was from 2.46 billion to 3.87 billion. Tell me, is a almost 1.5 billion dollar increase quite substantial enough? but no…google, you are sliding. You didnt make it a FOUR billion dollar increase >.<. How could you?!
Ya, ok, i’m going to stop that now, so yes, apparently this has “unnerved investors who were expecting another blowout quarter.” Compare this, with Yahoo’s. hey cool! only a 2% drop! woot!
Thank you MIT……for giving us, fearless mice. Apparently, MIT biochemists identified the molecular mechanism that creates fear, and somehow cured it from mice. Well….now, we have mice that will probably bite the cat. Woot. If they can do this in mice…..mmmmm……this is getting slightly dangerous, eh?
No pictures of fearless mice, but…you can read the entire description of them: Cure for fear.
