Netscape? They’re still around? Kinda surprised me too, and I don’t think I’ve used a Netscape browser for almost 6 years now. And by used, I mean been anywhere near a comp that even has Netscape installed on it.
Navigator 9 actually looks like it might have some good features though. . .
“URL CorrectionNavigator 9
will automatically correct common typos in URLs. For example, if you
accidentally type googlecom, Navigator will fix it be to google.com”
“Sidebar mini browser
You’ve always been able to have
bookmarks open in the sidebar, but we’ve improved this functionality
and extended it to all links, not just bookmarks.”
“Extension Compatibility
Navigator 9 shares its architecture with the latest Mozilla technologies; as such Navigator 9 will allow you to install extensions that are compatible with Firefox 2.”
Personally, I think the last one is the really interesting one. I like FF because of its extensions, tabbed browsing, and better security (in that order.) I’m using an extension to write this blog entry. What I don’t like is the fact that its a memory hog. It EATS ram. Hopefully they’ll fix this in 3 or 4, but until then. . .even though its netscape. . .its a possibility. . .

WTF . . . . its a post about NETSCAPE..
NOBODY uses Netscape anymore. It had its moments, I used Netscape composer to make my fist Webpage. But Netscape is dead. Firefox is the new “in” browser. FIND A BETTER TOPIC TO SPAM ABOUT.
/end rant.
